SIMON FRASER - ASSOCIATE AND MUSICAL DIRECTOR

Simon has composed music for numerous theatre productions including 'Cry to the Hunt' - The Soho Community Play for SHARED EXPERIENCE, 'No Surrender' (REMOULD THEATRE COMPANY's 2nd Hull City Play), the NATIONAL YOUTH THEATRE's 'White City Black Country' and 'Possession', a large-scale piece performed at Witley Court in Worcestershire by over eighty young people. Other work includes 'The Interference' by Tim Rose-Price, GeorgePeele's 'The Old Wife's Tale', Steve Dinsdale's adaptation of 'Mr Corbett's Ghost' by Leon Garfield (PLATYPUS THEATRE COMPANY), 'A Child in the Forest' (WORCESTER SWAN THEATRE), 'Station' (SOHO THEATRE) and 'Aladdin' BYRE THEATRE). He has worked with the Portuguese company TEATRO DO MONTEMURO on several pieces including 'Alminhas', 'O Canto da Cepa', Anjo do Montemuro' and 'Louco na Serra' by Peter Cann and a devised piece - 'Vasco na Cama'. Radio credits include 'Fair Game', 'No-one Writes to the Colonel', 'Serjeant Musgrave's Dance' (BBC RADIO 4) and 'The Conquest of the South Pole' (RADIO 3). He also created scores for the dance film The Metronomic Society' and his own short film 'Sanity', produced for Tyne Tees TV.

Simon's oratorio based on John Milton's 'Paradise Lost' was premiered at the 1997 THREE CHOIRS FESTIVAL and his orchestral suite 'At Caerlaverock' was performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Kenwood House, London in July 2003. He has collaborated with Andrew on numerous projects, both for the THEATRE ROYAL BATH - 'Electra', 'Spring Awakening', 'Twelfth Night', 'The Rivals', The Good Person of Szechwan', youth theatre productions of 'The Butterfly's Evil Spell', '20,000 Leagues Under The Sea' and 'Tis Pity She's A Whore', 'Citizenship' by Mark Ravenhill, 'Peter Pan', 'The Man of Mode' (YOUNG ACTORS THEATRE) and for ABSOLUTE THEATRE -'Spiel im Berg', 'Opera Soap', 'The Shoemaker's Wondrous Wife', 'The Rainforest Show' at Godwin School, 'The Crowgate' and 'Jericho Stone' as well as music for viola for a rehearsed reading of Felix Mitterer's monologue 'Siberia' at the AUSTRIAN CULTURAL FORUM. He produced and composed songs for an audio version of 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' featuring the voices of among others) Celia Imrie, Andy Serkis, Jonathan Pryce, Louise Jameson, Robert Lindsay and Paul Whitehouse.

In the 1980s, Simon was a member of the Bristol-based band, The Yakometties - www.yax.me.uk - which continues as a 3-piece now known as YKO.
